PSE of WWU

One of the benefits of PSE membership is a free $5000 Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance policy. Because some members have had difficulty signing up for this benefit, here are step-by-step instructions:

1. Go to the PSE of WA website: http://www.pseclassified.org
2. In the navigation menu near the top, hover the mouse (but don't click) over Benefits.
3. On the yellow sub-menu that appears, click Accidental Death & Insurance.
4. This brings up a page describing the AD&D policy.
5. Midway down that page, members may click on the red UNION PLUS link.
6. Clicking the red UNION PLUS link takes you to the UNION PLUS website (newly updated)
7. On the right of that page, select Accidental Death & Dismemberment
8. Select the red APPLY NOW button (members also have the option to download a copy to fill out manually)
9. Under the section which states: PLEASE ENTER YOUR UNION NAME, STATE AND DATE OF BIRTH:
10. Union: Select SEIU from the pull-down menu
11. State: Select WA
12. Fill in applicant’s date of birth and select NEXT
13. Enter all the required member information and beneficiary information; select NEXT
14. The next page allows the member to opt for additional coverage
15. Accept the terms
16. You will then receive a confirmation page (which you may print); I received a confirming email shortly after applying.

Union Plus will send a reminder when the one year term is nearing expiration.
